Resources For Non-Profit Organizations
Non-Profit organizations of all types in our local area benefit greatly from various types of donations. Not all organizations, however, are equipped to handle the processing or reporting requirements of these monies. In addition, many area organizations are start-ups with volunteer boards or committees that are immersed in filling the need at hand. The Greater Morgantown Community Trust is uniquely equipped to partner with your group and assist in these time-consuming financial tasks. We can often offer a wider range of giving options to your clients including various estate planning vehicles. These options will help grow and sustain your operations for as long as your services are need in the local community.
Designated Funds: Invested funds provide income for your agency forever. This type of fund designates your agency as the recipient of these funds whether started by the non-profit or an individual donor.
Non-Permanent Pass-Through Funds: These funds remain in cash for the day to day operation of the organization. They may support a yearly event or on-going project as the need dictates. Often, as these funds are accumulated or a large donation is received, they are converted into an endowment fund for on-going support of the agency operations.
