Betty Puskar - Dorsey's Knob Development Fund

As the greater Morgantown area continues to grow, it becomes increasingly urgent to preserve the history that has made us who we are today.   Dorsey’s Knob Park represents that history in Morgantown through the current and former residents who hold fond memories of afternoon picnics and evenings under the stars.  In a unique arrangement, BOPARC and GMCT with the generosity of many individuals purchased the land.  

But, it took a unique visionary, Betty Puskar, to turn an old house into a first class lodge and a showcase for our community.  When Betty created the Dorsey’s Knob Development Fund at GMCT she provided the financial resources and management vehicle to make it happen.  Betty Puskar saw the possibilities and with her unflagging enthusiasm has literally opened the door to the world.  Today, more than __ visitors have admired the broad vistas, and are welcomed by the cozy atmosphere and comfortable amenities of a first class lodge.
