The Shelley A. Marshall Foundation Fund

Donn, Drake and Chandler Marshall, GMCT Donors since 2002

For Donn, Drake and Chandler the last seven years have brought about many changes in their lives.  In a moment on September 11, 2001 we all were witness to the face of evil.  The Marshalls, who lost mother and wife, Shelley, on that day, chose to fight that inhumanity by inspiring and enriching the human experience in a fitting tribute to her life.  In 2002 they created the Shelley A. Marshall Foundation Fund at GMCT to provide uplifting and nurturing programs to youth and seniors from their respective homes.  Today, The Shelley A. Marshall Foundation Fund supports seven children's reading programs in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and West Virginia, along with nursing home teas and other programs in the arts.  Chandler and Drake have been able to know their mother through the excellent work of the fund which has also taught them about her own hopes and dreams.
