GMCT SCHOLARSHIPS

GMCT is proud to be a tool through which generous donors can create scholarships. Each scholarship has special criteria requirements.  Some are open to everyone and others are created for students with particular majors or from particular geographical areas. The award amounts  and length range.

Ernest Daniel Conaway, Raymond Guy Baker and Everett Reece Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund: Provides funding for the year’s tution and fees to benefit a financially needy medical school (M.D. degree) student and a financially needy engineering student. Students must be West Virginia residents attending West Virginia University. Academic excellence is not a requirement. However, the recipient must have at least an average grade poin of 2.0+ and would be satisfactorily progressing towards graduation in the engineering or the medical school discipline. 

HopeWorks Scholarship Fund:  Provides $1,500 scholarships to Monongalia County, West Virginia high school graduates who are regularly enrolled as undergraduate students in a college or university.  The recipients shall have demonstrated (a) need for financial assistance due to loss of parental support from death, divorce or loss of family income due to special circumstances, (b) excellence, commitment and leadership through involvement in school and community organizations, and (c) high academic promise. Ho
